Egypt's Zamalek only hope to reach the CAF champions League semi final was shattered after Sunday's 2-1 home loss to DR Congo's Tout Puissant (TP) Mazembe in the fourth matchday of group stage at the Military Academy stadium in Cairo.

All three goals came in the first half with defende Hichani Himoonde putting Mazembe ahead on 34th minute before Tanzanian national and professional TP Mazembe teenager player Mbwana Samata, who scored against Ahli in Cairo and against Zamalek in Lubumbashi, netted in the 44th minute of the game his third header in three matches to give the visitors the upper hand and ultimately the win needed for the game.

The hosts' only goal was scored by Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi in the 35th minute.

The match was played behind closed doors due to ongoing security concerns as Egyptian authorities have enforced a crowd ban since February’s infamous Port Said disaster, which left dozens dead and hundreds injured.
