Last season’s MTN Peace Cup beaten finalists Police FC host Tanzanian giant Yanga Africans this afternoon at Stade de Kigali in the latter’s second friendly match of their one-week training tour of the country.

Police’s coach Goran Kopunovic will be using the game to test his new singings including Yussuf Ndayishimiye and Innocent Habyariamana, who signed from SC Kiyovu and AS Kigali respectively.

“Yanga is a good side and this game will give us exposure and also help us in our preparation for the new season as well as next year’s Confederation Cup.

“I am looking forward to the game, it will not be easy against a side that has just won the Cecafa-Kagame Cup, but we must do our best to win the match,” said the Serbian coach.

Police have lost their lead strikers Laudit Mavugo and Meddie Kagere, who turned professional with North Africanclubs Esperance and JS Kablyie as well as defenders Deo Othieno and Gilbert Kaze, who have been offloaded in a new policy which will see club use more Rwandan players and do away with foreigners in the upcoming season.

Yanga beat Rayon Sports 2-0 in their first friendly match played on Friday at Amahoro stadium.

Quick first half goals from Ugandan import Hamis Kiiza and Simon Msuva on 1st and 8th minute were enough to hand the Cecafa-Kagame Cup champions a deserved win.
