England 1 Wales 0: Ash and grab! Young strike puts Lions on brink of Euro finals

England have taken one step closer to qualification for next summer's European Championships after beating Wales 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.
The only goal of the game came after 35 minutes when Ashley Young drilled a low effort past Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey following good work from Stewart Downing.
But Fabio Capello's side, who now need a draw in Montenegro to guarantee their place in the 2012 finals, were far from convincing, with Rob Earnshaw missing an open goal to draw Wales level 14 minutes from time.
